Boone County Woman Injured In Fire

BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr has reported that a 46-year old rural Boone County women was injured Wednesday while burning off her garden.  Brenda Frank apparently suffered burns to her legs and arms.  Fehr reported that fire was out when a deputy arrived at the scene.  The Ogden Fire Department and Boone County Ambulance were at the scene.  An Air Ambulance from Des Moines was reportedly dispatched.  Little additional information has been made available.

  1. She's doing okay. She has 2nd degree burns. Her face is swollen and her right side of her body was burned with 2nd degree, but her other arm and leg looks like on her left side like a sunburned.

  2. She's been through a lot the past year with surgeries and having a lot of pain and now this. She's a very strong woman and i look up to her. Great mother and grandparent. She's a loving person to be around and works hard for success! I love you mom!
