Supervisors Set Public Hearings

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors have set public hearings on two different ordinance amendments. One, the controversial Conservation Overlay and the second the County Flood Management Plan. The Conservation Overlay proposal is to rescind section 4.13 from the County Zoning Ordinance. The Flood Management Ordinance will be updated for new FEMA maps and language making residents eligible for Federal Flood Insurance. The hearings will be held during regular Supervisors meetings, March 23rd, 3oth and April 6th with the Flood Ordinance at 9:00 AM and Zoning at 10:00 AM.
