Conservation Board Rescinds Alcohol Policy

BOONE, Iowa---Last month, the Boone County Conservation Board took action to deal with alcohol related issues that either are or are expected to occur on the High Trestle Trail and Bridge in Boone County.  This month, the Commission rescinded their action after receive input from the Boone County Sheriff's Department. The trail is considered a public area and there are already state laws that regulate alcohol on those areas.  Commission members agreed to work with current state code.  Concerns had been raised about potential problems with alcohol on the High Trestle Bridge.
