BOONE, Iowa---Heavy rain Friday morning caused a few problems in Boone. There was quite a bit of street flooding and as usual the underpass flooded and caused a car to stall out blocking traffic. Because of the volume of water, there was a report that water began coming out of city's Honey Creek Storm Sewer which is in the same location as the sanitary sewer work on Marshall Street. It's not known if the storm sewer was damaged or if the problem will need to be repaired. Boone received about an inch and three-quarters in just over an hour.
