BOONE, Iowa---Many Boone residents have been waiting to see when and if three fire damaged buildings in downtown Boone would be demolished. Well, the work began Monday afternoon. Boone City Administrator Luke Nelson had said the work was delayed when the City was asked to apply for additional, unspent Neighborhood Stabilization Grant Funds to help cover the cost of the demolition.
