Moratorium

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors have instituted a moratorium on any land division of development in the Des Moines River corridor. It is expected that the six-month moratorium will allow the County Plan and Zoning Commission to complete work on a set of guidelines to be used in applying what's called a "Conservation District Overlay". The overlay is intended to protect environmentally fragile land in the river valley.
