Storm Damage Sign ups

BOONE, Iowa---Registered Boone County residents and businesses increased over the past weekend, after the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that Boone County was eligible to apply for individual assistance. Just over 50 registrations had taken place before the announcement Friday. By Monday morning it increased to nearly 60. Inspectors were in the county over the weekend and by Monday had approved more than $40,000 in assistance and grants. Registration for anyone that suffered any kind of damage from storms or flooding in June, July and August continues until November 12th.
