River Rescue

BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says an unidentified number of people were rescued off the Des Moines River Monday afternoon, after becoming stranded south of US Highway 30. Fehr reported that deputies and Boone County Search and Rescue and the Madrid Fire Department were able to communicate with the group by cell phone. They were taken off the river. No injuries were reported.
