Youth Identified
May 19, 2010 BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says 17-year old Adam Brekke of Boone was operating an ATV when it rolled into the Honey Creek Ravine area south of Boone Tuesday afternoon. Brekke was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, 17-year old Alex Appenzeller was taken to the Boone County Hospital and was treated and released. Fehr says Boone Police, Boone Fire and Rescue, Boone County Search and Rescue, Boone County Ambulance and the Boone County Coroner were all at the scene.
