Drug Drop Off

BOONE, Iowa---This weekends Drug Drop Off event is nationwide. In Iowa, a few dozen cities are participating, and three of them are in Boone County. Boone, Madrid and Ogden will all have locations to collect those old and outdated prescriptions, over the counter medications, patches, lotions, liquids, vitamins, supplements and even unused pet medications. Drop times will be 10:00 Saturday morning until noon. Residents can drop off items at the Boone Police Department at 6th and Story in Boone, at the Ogden City Hall for the Ogden Police Department and at the Madrid City Hall for the Madrid Police Department. Rural residents can take items to the closest community.
