Special Council Meeting

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone City Council will hold a special meeting Thursday afternoon to consider approval of a change order for the on going sanitary sewer rehabilitation project. Officials says work was underway on 8th Street and with the intent of putting the sewer line under the Honey Creek Storm drain. However, engineers report that condition of the storm sewer is consider poor and unsafe and was discovered Tuesday. The old brick culvert is 6-feet in diameter at that location. The storm sewer work is estimated at nearly $44,000.
