Boone County Soldier Injured in Afghanistan

BOONE, Iowa---A Boone County soldier, serving with the Iowa National Guard was one of four injured this week in Afghanistan. Colonel Greg Hapgood, Public Affairs Officers with the Iowa National Guard reported Friday that 40-year old Staff Sgt. Daniel J. Wilczak of Luther was part of the group attacked with an Improvised Explosive Devise while conducting combat operations in Laghman Province. Also injured were 26-year old 1st Lt. Nicholas R. Morris of Columbia, S.C.; 25 year old Sgt. Martin C. Ennor of Cedar Rapids and 26-year old Pvt. 1st Class Tyler M. Sirovy of Deep River, Iowa. Pictures of the four are included.
