BOONE, Iowa---The Boone Park Commission has voted once again, unanimously, not accept grinding a solution to problems with a recreational trail near the skate pond. The Commission and other city officials have not been satisfied by the work done by CTI, the contractor that reconstructed the trail after the sanitary sewer rehabilitation work was completed. By contract, CTI is permitted to deal with the problem by grinding down the bumps. The city is currently withholding $20,000 in funds. Park Commission John Griener says the Commission might not win, but the work is just not acceptable.
