BOONE, Iowa---The Boone City Council is expected to consider a bid received for a Safe Routes to School project when they meet Monday. The City, Boone Schools and others pursued the grant money from the state for improvements around the Franklin Elementary Building and the Boone Middle School. With on going construction at both locations, the project has been delayed to coincide with the completion of both projects. The work is expected to exceed $200,000.
