BOONE, Iowa---The Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad will certainly look for better weather this weekend for Thomas the Tank Engine. Last weekend was plagued by cold, rainy weather. A Day Out With Thomas will continue Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Early in September, Fenner Stevenson, General Manager at the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad, said the pre-sale of tickets was up about 15-percent. An estimated 7,000 visitors could visit Boone this weekend.
