Sanitary Sewer Work

BOONE, Iowa---Boone City Administrator Luke Nelson says he will be meeting with representatives of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Attorney Generals Office to discuss the status of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation work in Boone. The DNR had given the City a deadline of November 2010 to complete the work. That deadline is not going to be met. Nelson says the DNR does have the authority to begin imposing fines, but he hopes they will consider the circumstances that plagued the entire state this construction season.
