Annexation Study Expected by Late Summer

BOONE, Iowa---Even though the Boone City Council and businesses in the Boone Industrial Park have a tentative agreement for long term, voluntary annexation, Boone City Administrator Luke Nelson says the Council will still have some hard decisions to make once the Annexation Study is received. Most of the focus has been on the Industrial Park east of Boone. But Nelson noted that there are four other segments of possible annexation that will need to be considered. Those areas are to the north, northwest, southwest and additional area to the east for industrial development. Nelson feels the study might be available in September.
