BOONE, Iowa---Thousands of bicyclists and their support vehicles will be descending on Boone Tuesday. Monday, Boone Public Works began putting up some barricades to block of the streets. More are expected Tuesday. Police Chief Bill Skare says the most important word for people to remember will be "patience". Skare says several streets will be blocked while riders enter Boone. Many will be headed to McHose Park. Others will go to DMACC and the Boone Middle School. Still others will be headed off to stay with private families. The Iowa State Patrol is estimating more than 20,000 riders will be in Boone Tuesday night.
