Disaster Assistance

BOONE, Iowa---Since tornadoes and flooding struck the state in 2008, Boone County residents and governmental entities have received over $2.5-million. The Federal Emergency Management Agency and State of Iowa Disaster Recovery have reported that nearly $659,000 went to some 222 residents for housing assistance. Governmental entities received some $1.4-million in reimbursement for everything from debris removal to infrastructure repairs.
