BOONE, Iowa---Those attending the annual Herman Park Gospel Fest in Boone Saturday will need to be cautious, due to extremely warm conditions. The National Weather Service has indicated that the Heat Index will be in the dangerous category Saturday afternoon and evening. Those attending the Gospel Fest are encouraged to use caution and prepare for the extreme conditions. Organizers have scheduled a dozen groups to perform beginning Saturday at 1:00 PM. The Herman Park Gospel Fest is free to the public, a goodwill offering will be accepted.
