BOONE, Iowa---As expected, the Boone County Board of Supervisors did approve a second consideration on a social hosting ordinance. The ordinance creates an infraction, punishable by fines. The ordinance is being encouraged by the Boone County SAFE Coalition and law enforcement. Earlier, Bill Skare, Director of Public Safety in Boone said the preference would be for criminal charges against those allowing young people to drink alcohol.
