BOONE, Iowa---Without knowing the exact numbers, organizers for Boone's Annual Pufferbilly Days Celebration feel pretty good about returning to downtown Boone. The past 3-years, the event was held at the Boone County Fairgrounds. The return to downtown was accompanied by a strong corporate sponsorship campaign. There were some conflicts with the Iowa vs Iowa State football game Saturday, but efforts were tied in with tailgating early on. Great weather also helped Pufferbilly Days, but also the 29th Annual IMCA Supernationals all last week at the Boone Speedway.
