MADRID, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says deputies assisted Madrid Police with a report of a man with a gun entering a home in Madrid last Friday afternoon. Fehr says Madrid Police were the lead agency on the case and deputies only assisted. Madrid Chief Rick Tasler was out of the state and officer requested assistance from the state strategic response team. The home was entered after six hours and no one was found. Madrid Police are continuing the investigation.
