Boone Parks Sledding Hill

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone Park Commission is expected to bring up the sledding hill issue at their next meeting. The sledding hill was closed following a lawsuit against the City and others after a woman was seriously injured. Part of the discussion next week is expected to deal with pursuing legislation that would remove the liability if certain things were done to make the hill safer. The discussion about the legislation came up last year, but with the settlement of the lawsuit and the agenda of the legislature, the matter was dropped. The Park Commission meets Monday evening at the City Park Office.
