BOONE, Iowa---Several business representatives from central Iowa participated in a "Boss Lift" by the Iowa National Guard Wednesday, all part of the renewed effort to recognize the Iowa Employer Support of Guard and Reserve. The ESGR orientation was held at the Aviation Support Facility in Boone and included a flight on a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. Becky Coady told those on hand that of the 2,800 members of the guard that recently returned from Afghanistan, about 700 are currently unemployed and their effort was to help reduce that number.
