BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Assessors Office will be a pretty busy place for the next couple of weeks. Late last Friday, the County received the 2011 Final Equalization Notice for Boone County. The notice is the result of an appeal of a 23% assessment increase on commercial and industrial property. Boone County Assessor D. Kevin Burggraaf says over the next week, notices will be prepared and will be sent out, offering commercial and industrial property owners a chance to appeal any increases. The order also requires that all Commercial and Industrial properties go through reappraisal, for the 2013 assessment year.
