"Y" Reopens

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Family YMCA was finally able to open for business Thursday afternoon, but staff members point out the facility is not completely recovered from a fire last Friday. The fire was confined to a basement office, but did cause quite a bit of smoke and water damage. Many of the upper levels were reopened, but the pool, weight room and aerobic fitness room are still being cleaned up. Several programs are being rescheduled and will continue as soon as possible.
