BOONE, Iowa---Boone Mayor John Slight says he will be signing a consent order with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources regarding the City's on going sanitary sewer rehabilitation work. The Boone City Council approved the document for signing this week. The new order was amended at the City's request. Four years ago, Slight refused to sign the original consent order that included penalties for failing to make improvements under the DNR timetable. The new consent order waives the penalties.
