BOONE, Iowa---After nearly a year, the Boone County Communications Center has made great strides with Emergency Medial Dispatch. The effort was begun as a way to improve emergency responses, both in timing and efficiency. John DeLavergne, a Paramedic and member of the Boone County Hospital's Ambulance crew says a review of the records show a marked improvement in both categories. DeLavergne says in excess of 94% of the calls used the proper protocol. He says the percentage is very good.
