BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says no injuries were reported following a head-on collision on US Highway 30 in western Boone County late Sunday afternoon. Deputies reported that 19-year old Lucas C. Johnson of Des Moines apparently fell asleep and crossed the center line, colliding with a vehicle operated by 63-year old Sharron K. Wiederin of Arcadia. Deputies estimated damages at some $13,000. Johnson was cited with failing to maintain control and underage possession of alcohol.
