BOONE, Iowa---The Boone City Council will finally get to consider an offer on one of the three houses that have been acquired and renovated as part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Federal and local dollars are used for the purchase and work on the homes. Upon the sale, the local funds are reimbursed first with the balance going back into the program to acquire and renovated additional homes. City officials say and offer has been received on the home at 1415 3rd Street. The Council has two choices, accept the offer or reject the offer and leave the property on the market.
