Park Commission Approves Bid

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone Park Commission did take action Monday to accept a bid of some $18,000 for work on the main shelter house in McHose Park. The project has been in the works for some time and will include new windows and doors. Additional work will include some heating that will make the facility available for rental later in the year. The apparent low bid was submitted by Boone Construction, roughly $2,500 less than a bid from Grabau Construction. The project will be funded by a grant received from Boone County Community Endowment and funds from the City.
