Supervisors Expect to Sell Loan Notes

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors will consider the sale of $2.5 million in capital loan notes when they meet Wednesday. Bids are scheduled to be opened at 10:00 with the Board expected to act on the sale at 10:30, after a review by financial consultants. The loan note proceeds are necessary to cover costs related to the Central Iowa Expo development east of Boone. The site will host next year's Farm Progress Shows Hay Expo and the Farm Progress Show itself in August 2012. Expected proceeds from fund raising efforts have never materialized.
