BOONE, Iowa---The Boone City Plan and Zoning Commission will hold a special meeting Monday to consider a proposed site plan for a Wal-Mart Super Center Store on the south side of Boone. The Commission will consider a recommendation for the full Council to consider. Site developers have said they hope to be able to break ground this fall and complete construction in the spring of 2013. The proposal has already received variances from the City Zoning Board of Adjustment for parking. Business on the south side have expressed concerns about traffic at South Linn and US Highway 30.
