BOONE, Iowa---Youth and Shelter Services and other human service providers in Boone County will join in the national effort to recognize September is National Drug and Alcohol Addictions Recovery Month. Jason Haglund, Treatment Services Director for YSS says the theme this year is "Join the Voice for Recovery: Recovery Benefits Everyone". Haglund says in the past year, YSS provided assistance to a number of Boone County young people, including more than 100 in their residential treatment units. A September 22nd event is currently being planned for the Boone Campus of DMACC.
