BOONE, Iowa---Thursday is the deadline for candidates to submit petitions to be on the ballot for the September school board elections. Some have already turned in their papers, but some will either hold off until Thursday or won't submit petitions and will pursue a write-in campaign. The School Board elections are held September 13th. In the case of the Boone School District, there will also be a $16.1 million bond issue for the proposed renovation of Boone High School.
