Return of Near Record Heat Thursday

BOONE, Iowa---The return of near record high temperatures to start the month of September has led to the Boone Schools announcing the early dismissal at Boone High School both Thursday and Friday. Like last week, the early dismissal will affect the high school only because the middle school and the elementary buildings do have adequate air conditioning. The announcement about the early dismissal was made Wednesday afternoon. Again the dismissal is for the high school only, 1:30 on Thursday and Friday.
