Proliant Expansion Gets State Support

BOONE, Iowa---Plans by Proliant Biologicals to expand their Boone operation took a step forward this week with approval of tax incentives through the Iowa Department of Economic Developments High Quality Jobs program. The $12.5 million expansion is expected to create 8-jobs, one of which is supported by state incentives. Representative Chip Baltimore, Republican from Boone, says the incentives could result in $250,000 in benefits over five years. Proliant, located in the south Boone Business Park manufactures animal derived biochemicals.
