Drug Task Force makes big arrest in Boone

Over the past several months, the Central Iowa Drug Task Force has been conducting an investigation into the illegal distribution of marijuana in and around the City of Boone. As a result of this investigation, the following have been arrested and charged: Ryan Michael Germain, 26, of Boone - 3 counts of Delivery of Marijuana; Lane Derek McKay, 27, of Boone, - 2 counts of delivery of marijuana, 1 count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, 1 count of failure to affix drug tax stamp; Brady Cloyd Platter, 30, of Boone - 1 count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, 1 count of failure to affix drug tax stamp; Allysa Lois Haase, 20, of Boone - 1 count possession with intent to deliver marijuana, 1 count failure to affix drug tax stamp; and, Joseph Andrew Germain, 25 of Ames, -1 count of driving while barred and unlawful possession of prescription pills.

Approximately 17 pounds of marijuana and over $100,000 in US currency, along with other assets, were seized.

Members of the Central Iowa Task Force include: Boone Police Department, Boone County Sheriff's Office, Ames Police Department, Story County Sheriff's Office, ISU Police, Greene County Sheriff's Office, Iowa National Guard and Iowa Division of Narcotics.
