BCH Lowers Liability Premium

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Hospital Board of Directors have approved a bid for General and Professional Liability Insurance coverage for the coming year, that will result in a savings of nearly $100,000. The current premium for the policy from MHA Insurance was about $240,000 and was bid to go up $15,000 in the next year. The Hospital usually seeks competitive quotes every other year and also received a bid from MMIC for $141,000. Hospital Chief Executive Officer Joe Smith told the Board that both insurance carriers are active in the state.
