BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Conservation Board has been working at putting together a project to make repairs on Don Williams Dam north of Ogden. Andy Hockenson, County Conservation Director has said the spillway on the dam is the area of concern. Some repair work has been done, but concrete work is necessary to complete the repairs. A contract for $53,000 with the C.L. Carroll Company of Des Moines was considered by the Supervisors this week. Hockenson says part of the project is drawing down the lake 16-feet. That could begin by the end of this month.
