Supervisors to Set Hearing on Precinct Ordinance

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors will set the public hearings needed to approve the county ordinance that will update voting precincts to match the 2010 census. Iowa law requires the change, and also requires the adoption of the ordinance. Ten years ago, several changes were made which set the precincts in place today. At that time, Worth Township voters were going to be sent to the Boone County Fair Grounds to vote, but the ordinance was amended to allow the voting to be done at the Luther City Hall. Many of the previous changes were driven by handicap accessibility issues.
