Proliant Expansion Moving Quickly

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone City Plan and Zoning Commission will take a first look at a proposed expansion of the Proliant Biologicals plant on the south side of Boone. The plant, currently located in the south business park could see a substantial addition with an increase in jobs. Company officials approached the City a couple of months ago about the availability of extra capacity at the water and sewer plants. The City worked with Proliant to meet they're growing demand and still have capacity for future development. Proliant has also been successful in securing tax credits through the State of Iowa for the project.
