No Dredging At Don Williams

BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Conservation Director Andy Hockenson says many people have asked about plans to dredge the north end of the Don Williams Lake, now that the water level is being drawn down to allow for repairs on the spillway of the dam.  He says there are plans to someday do some dredging on the north end of the lake if funds are available, but that probably won't be for at least a couple of more years.  This falls project is to draw the lake down 16-feet, repair the spillway and have the DNR conduct a fish kill on the gizzard shad located in the lake.
