BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says his department is investigating a theft of copper from a warehouse facility in the Boone Industrial Park. Fehr says the complaint was received from PDM about 10:30 Thursday morning. Someone had entered a warehouse, cut out the copper and hauled it away. It was estimated to weigh about a ton. Fehr says evidence was collected and the investigation is on going.
