Boone Sanitary Sewer Rehab Not Done

BOONE, Iowa---Boone City Administrator Luke Nelson says the city's sanitary sewer rehabilitation work is not done. He says the next focus is in the northeast part of the community. Work is currently being done to finalize a Consent Order with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Nelson say the DNR is continuing to push the city to pursue improvements in the sanitary sewer system, and has been agreeable to some of the ideas put forth for improvements. One of the issues that has been dropped recently was a fine for not completing the original action plan.
