BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says two people were injured when their motorcycle went into the ditch west of Luther Sunday morning. Fehr says 60 year old William G. Ahlf of Altoona swerved to avoid a deer crossing the road and went into the ditch. 53 year old Paula J. Ahlf of Altoona was flown from the scene by Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. William Ahlf was transported to the Boone County Hospital. No condition updates were available. The Boone Fire Department, Fire and Rescue and Boone County Ambulance assisted the Sheriff's Department at the scene.
