BOONE, Iowa---With the approval of the site plan for a new Wal-Mart Super Center Store in Boone, many might wonder what will happen to the current store. The question was posed to Wal-Mart representatives by Council Member Greg Piklapp. Legal Counsel for Wal-Mart, Curt Ward from Marshalltown told the Council another retailer has expressed an interest in the store when Wal-Mart moves out. He could not identify the other retailer, but Boone Mayor John Slight says it was good to hear there was interest by someone to locate in Boone.
