BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors accepted a bid from Bankers Bank of Madison, Wisconsin and from Security Savings Bank of Gowrie for the sale of $2.5 million in capital loan notes. The combined bid offered the lowest interest rate at just under 4.04 %. The proceeds for the 20-year note sale will be used by the Supervisors to cover obligations related to the Central Iowa Expo site east of Boone. Tim Oswald with Piper Jaffrey noted that there were 7 competitive bids that were received.
