BOONE, Iowa---Nominating petitions for the upcoming school board elections were turned in last week and three of the local districts have the minimum number of candidates on the ballots. Boone has Jeffrey Anderson, Brad O'Neal and Jan Westrum. Madrid has incumbants Terry Ostendorf, Marvin Ostrander and Emily Schieltz. United has Valerie Brewer, Kathy Toms and Leonard V. Larson on the ballot. For Ogden, there are 7 candidates for the three positions. Incumbants Thomas Cleveland and Toby E. Klauenberg are being challenged by Amy Chumbley, Taz G. Cole, Sally A. Good, Camille Sloan Schroeder and Matt VanSickle. School Board elections will be held September 13th.
